Lorts, Pepper Berry Launch “EarthCare Inside”
Lorts Manufacturing and Pepper Berry are introducing the eco-friendly program called “EarthCare Inside” at the 2010 Spring International Home Furnishings Market in High Point in partnership with Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, a major component supplier to both companies, to incorporate environmentally friendly components throughout their furniture lines.
Goodyear, Ariz.-based Lorts Manufacturing produces custom-made bedroom furniture, as well as hardwood dining furniture, occasional pieces, armoires, and home office wall units. Pepper Berry, Vernon, Calif., manufactures a designer furniture line, which features a wide range of fabrics and custom upholstery choices.
The EarthCare Inside program was developed by Hickory Springs to offer furniture manufacturers environmentally friendly components including seat cushions made from its soy-based Preserve foam, springs forged from recycled steel, webbing woven with 100 percent recycled Repreve® yarn, and back cushion fibers fashioned from recycled content.
