Rock Legend Kansas to Headline High Point Market Concert Series
It’s hard to believe that we’re already making plans for Fall High Point Market! It is just around the corner, and as you’re scheduling your days make sure to leave a little time for fun!
“HIGH POINT, NC – Classic rock band Kansas will headline the Stars Under the Stars concert series for the High Point Market, Oct. 16 to 21, 2010.
Known for hits such as “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry on Wayward Son,” the rock legends became known for playing only the group’s original music, releasing its first album in 1974.
The band features four original members – Phil Ehart, Steve Walsh, Richard Williams, and Robby Steinhardt as well as Billy Greer, who has been with the band for 13 years.
Kansas produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-platinum albums, one platinum live album, and a million-selling gold single, “Dust in the Wind.” Kansas appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. “Carry on Wayward Son” was the second most-played track on classic rock radio in 1995 and went to #1 in 1997. In 1998, Kansas released an orchestral CD, “Always Never the Same,” recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London.”
